I posted a week or two ago with some newbie questions, and many people here were kind enough to get me started. I have followed the advice, and now have everything I need(butt the snake!(LOL).

I have read all the information here, and went back in the forum, and gleaned some great advice.

One thing- It seems, to me, that many people here are VERY involved in morphs, and ccolor variations. I really am somewhat perplexed at this, as I think that Balls are really cool no matter what the color. Is this something I will run into often? Do people prefer these "designer" snakes over run of the mill "generic" balls?- Please, I cast no judgement on anyone- at all. Just my personal observation.

I'd say almost everyone that is breeding for color or pattern mutations still likes the looks of normal ball pythons and more than likely has quite a few in thier collection. I would compare it to the popularity of the white t-shirt. Everyone likes white shirts but how bout a white shirt with a cool design on it, it's much prettier and thus costs more. I for one love the variability of the wild type ball python and have seen some that would blow away some of the morphs in the looks category and will always have normals in our collection.

Yes a lot of people do like morphs but you'll probably find just as many like normals. The world would be very boring if all liked the same things

Personally I have a Normal Female and think that she is great.

But when it comes to problems this site has helped me out on quite a few occasions and not one person has asked about the colour or morph of the snake. It makes no difference, we all love our snakes.
