Small little problem...

mad_piranha Aug 05, 2003 06:41 PM

Ok, somebody will be shipping me 2 leos tomarrow, and they will be here on thursday. Well, I will be going away for a week, next tuesday. (for 5 days)... And the people looking after my house will be able to feed them. The people who are looking after the house have never looked after reptiles before (I am a little nervous about that).. then I realized what if the leos won't eat?... (they are really good eaters, but they might be stressed from the plane ride). How long will they be able to go for without crickets? I will be back the next week, will they be ok that long?

Sorry for the long post, I'm just a little worried.

they should be eating by tuesday...the jitters from traveling normally wear off after the second day at their new home. as for feeding, just tell the people whoul are gecko sitting to put 5 crickets in each of the tanks every night for about a half an hour and then after the half hour is up, remove the remaining crickets. no big deal. how old are the leos???

I posted pictures earlier, about the high yellow and the hyp tang... the hypo tang is 2.5 yrs.. and the high yellow is 4 months... my other leo (who is sitting at home right now ) is 1.5 years.

At that age they should be fine even if they don't eat for awhile, I have had gex not eat up to ten days after shipment.

They will eat when they are ready.
