I thought I would mention what I saw there. For me, the caging at shows is the most interesting part (how many ball pythons does one have to see.. that's another subject)
Vision Racks:
They had their full line there with Vision boxes. Amazing racks. Versatile, way stronger than what the picture on their website makes you think. Heating with round heat cable, as little or as much as you want. Perfect tolerances, great boxes. A completely functional and well-built product.
Happy Snakes:
This was a sight to see. What a concept! Plain old particle board cage construction with an acrylic swing-down door. But then, the crafter takes it to new levels. This guy puts vinyl flooring on the floor, sides and even ceiling cut around a heat lamp screen. Incredible workmanship. He uses great styles of vinyl. On some cages he puts a mirror as the back wall, on others he puts aquarium background (under an acrylic or glass panel) or signs that say things like, "got snakes?", or rocky-looking vinyl flooring. Then he covers the cage exterior with fabric like what is used on car speaker boxes. You have to see these to appreciate their look. Function and art in an affordable (but heavy) cage.
I'll get his URL if he has one and post it.
Freedom Breeder Cages:
Not just their racks. Their cages (terrestrial) are fantastic. One had a 10ft retic in it with no problem. Nice design and function.
I am forgetting something else. I'll remember what it is I hope. An aquatic/land setup that was really nice, just can't remember who makes it.
