Caught this thing in a steel plant.. Looks like a Eastern King to me but not sure. The pics came out blurry due to being taken with a camera phone but hopefully its good enough to tell? Also, even if ya can't tell what kind, can you tell me if its non-poisoness by the head shape? It strikes at me but I think even non-fanged snakes do that? Someone enlighten me please. Thanks.

..would be a big hint...hard to tell from that pic but kingsnake sounds like a very good guess, could be....bottom line if it's got round eyes it's non-venomous with the description you gave.

It is really tough to tell from those poor photos, but that looks more like an eastern king baby than any other GA snake.

The black kingsnake from North Georgia remains alot of color, Ive seen hatchlings from Floyd county, in which they look almost identical to eastern kings, besides the yellow bands not being white..Better pics, and spefic county could really help this, but knowing it was from north GA..Brings to nigra..UNLESS it was on the western side of North GA, then could possibly be a eastern. Thanks alot

...I believe GA protects it's native non-venomous snakes..so... maybe it's best to release it.
