Collecting springtails...

...OK. In my RETF tank, I found a whole &$%# load of springtails!!! (Im not sure how they got in)....they are everywhere!!! I dont want to kill them, but I want to collect them for my darts/mantellas.....any suggestions? What do they eat? etc...Thx

Well to culture them all you gots to do is get a rubbermade shoe box fill it with activated charcoal, i think you add just a little water (im not sure), add the springtails, and sprinkle yeast or fish food flakes ontop of the charcoal.

now to catch em. If you got one of them bug sucker catcher things that would work. but i would say putting a peice of charcoal or something in there (or maybe rip fruit?) so they gather on it and remove it from the tank.
