Black alteration....No Dial-up .....

ajfreptiles Sep 25, 2006 10:30 PM

This is a normal male Colombian I produced....he is ready to breed ...but I do not have a female for him...

These pics seem to show the black pigment being altered...really the blacks look only purple...

Also can you see the Translucent white scales? Those are hard to show...but these pics were NOT taken with a flash...

Chris what do you think? Thanks Andy

LOL.

I think he has some form of Hypomelanism going on. It may be something that can be selectively bred over time, or it might be genetic.

I think he looks a lot like the Suriname X Hog Island I used to have.

Sorry I can't help you out more. He was a very interesting baby, and has kept my interest. When he was first born I thought he might be a low grade hypo, some of the early hypos were pretty ugly.

Nice Animal when i 1st seen him I looked and thought Addy's calling his hypo a normal .Looking closer I see he's a very nice super light patterned Bci.It seems it cought alittle hypo in its gene.I have a feamle het albino that I bred to a burke DH Sunglow, she had a great litter last year alot of the normal babys were super clean. She is also a sister to Pual M.'s Alabaster boa.Her tail is nowere near as clean as your though, they can been seen on my page under boas,my Daughter named her bonnie ,best of luck to you with that dude
