In Haiti me and my brother caught a small gecko and released it. As far as the Iguanas in Tulum. I probally could of touched them and caught one like the one in the beach pic and the one behind me but I didnt. I wasnt sure how he would react. They where pretty big lizards. If he would of charged or try niping me Iam sure if he got a grip on a finger it would of been broken if not missing altogether.

Same with the Cayman Island Blue Iguana... pics still to come. Could of touched em but didnt in respect. I was very lucky to see the 2 I did. From what they where telling me 80 Adults left and 70 juveniles worldwide and 30 of them roam wild in the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park which is branched off of the recovery and breeding program.

Some got loose during Hurricane Ivan and inbreeding occured. Mutation NO! but they said eggs after offspring inbreeding is a few generations deep all eggs layed are infertile and dont hatch.

I also got a rare chance to talk with the Head Warden and Director of the Iguana Recovery Program Frederic Burton and got a ride back to Georgetown with a cool volunteer.

They offer volunteers housing living cost ect. Iam thinking about going to help.
