My new Pastel Motleys

rainbowsrus Sep 26, 2006 10:45 AM

Just an update on the group of boas that came in really cold. They are all doing fine, have waited and will feed them tonight. For anyone who didn't see my earlier thread, these three Motleys and 2.2 het albinos came in really cold. Coldest I've ever received. After further checking I still don't know why they were so cold. There was a 40 hour heat pack in the insulated shipping box and a day later it was still 95plus degrees.

took a few quick (crappy washed out) pics, will take better ones later

Looks like a heck of a nice group. Who was the shipper? If it went air it gets pretty cold on airline flights, because it's in a cargo area. I use fedex the folks on the plane are in the same area the boxes are, at least that what they tell me..

They came from Bill Kirby. He was very easy to deal with and am totally happy with the deal and the babies. They were shipped delta dash and everything I can see looks like they were packed properly:

Insulated box with 40 hour heat pack and the heat pack was still cranking out the heat. Musta been really, really cold on that plane.

you will notice ice forming on the wings of the plane. They probably don't regulate the cabin temperature much in cargo flights, helps reduce cost.

I had a Delta shipment come in in January after being grounded in Atlanta (they route all shipments through there) because of snow. That was a headache, but everything arrived okay.

Delta does a good job, and they stand behind their business, but sometimes I worry.

Dave:

Congratualtions on a really nice group of Motleys.

I can't wait to see them.
