I will tell you now that I am new to snake keeping. I got my first ball python a few weeks ago. I went to reptileauctions.com and I see this descriptions with "Het Pied" and "1.1" and "2.0", well what do all of these terms mean?

When someone uses 1.1, 0.1, 2.1, etc. in a description of a snake, it is refering to the gender of the snake(s).

For example, one male snake would be listed as 1.0, and one female snake would be listed as 0.1.

A pair of snakes would be listed as 1.1, or a trio as 1.2.

Unsexed hatchlings are sometimes listed as 0.0.8 (or whatever number of hatchlings there are.)

Hope this helps a little and that I didn't confuse you more! :-/ Hopefully someone else will be able to explain it a little better...

ok the easy answer is this,

1.1 means 1 male.1 female. if there is a thid . and another # it means unsexed, het pied means it potentially has the genes to produce a pied bald baby depending on the % and if you have another pied.
