new tank question and thanks

captotterboy Sep 26, 2006 01:23 PM

To everyone who helped me with the biting problem i wanted to say that i think it was a feeding problem. I switched to fuzzies every three days and she has since stopped munching on my hand.

I am about to moove her to a new tank and i just got a new understank heater for it. I am using aspen bedding for subtrate. Should i put a small layer of gravel directly over the heater and than put the aspen bedding on top of that? Is it alright to put the aspen directly on the bottom of the cage?

Thanks,
Jeff

You can put aspen directly over the glass. Feed him on something other that aspen because of possible ingestion. You could just feed in a container. You should get a decent thermometer to monitor the temperature. If it gets too hot, you need a thermostat. None of that stuff costs to much. I'm glad your snake and you are doing much better. Derek
