IMO go for the baby, there are so many different factors you have to take in mind. Babies require a lot of attention to feeding schedule, proper husbandry (as do all ages and reptiles). IMO mistakes are magnified with younger ones tho.

Personally getting a baby, is so much more rewarding as you can watch them grow and devolop there personalitys. There just like havin babies kinda like!! LOL
Definitly what ever you decide you cant go wrong as far as lizards go. Beardies are so much fun to watch and interact with. We also have 2 Leo Geckos and i would take a beardie over a leo anyday! Fun fun lil lizards!

Good luck and send some pics when you get one!!

Imo i like to go for a slightly older beardie. That having been said I loved watching my baby grow. It is easier not starting with a baby and i believe you have a better survival rate if they aren't fresh out of the egg. My male was about two when i got him and his personality is amazing. Its just a matter of what you would prefer. I hope this helped

babies are fine to start with, as long as they are not too young. Look for babies who are at least 6" long. 8" long would be better (snout to tail tip). Smaller dragons may not thrive or may be small due to other reasons (poor care, disease ,parasites etc). A 8" dragon is typically around 2-3 months old and is well established and less likely to fail to thrive once settled into his new home.
