The UVB blues...

Antioch Sep 27, 2006 11:40 AM

OK folks... I am confused.

When I kept Collared Lizards, I used a Reptisun 5.0 bulb.

But here on the forum, I found different recommendations.

This is for a baby Bearded, about 5 inches long...

What bulb is best, and why do you think so?

I use reptiglo 8.0 and a 2.0 with Bob and a reptiglow 5.0 with my little girl Draka. I don't see anything very wrong with the reptisun 5.0 as long as it's not old, That bulb is made by zoomed and I had thought they where good lights, probly even better then what i am useing

The zoo med florescent tubes are fine. REptisun 5.0 or 10.0 are fine for bearded dragons. ALso the Exoterre bulbs are good too, repti-glo 5.0 and 8.0's.

As reptiles become more popular more companies are producing reptile products. SOme are better than others but for the most part the Zoo med and Exoterre products are amoung the best.
