Brooks, Future animal scientist has a interesting few questions....................

cod6545 Aug 05, 2003 08:24 PM

Hey,
I was just wondering, what about putting a little milk on Tort food, or in their water when soaking? Milk helps bones grow and makes them strong. What about shells? Also, of my two Reds, one only eats in their soak- bowl while the other won't touch food unless he's in their terrarium. I wonder why? Please help me out with anything you guys might have. Thanks,
Brooks

Milk is not good for any animal other than mammals. If a strong shell is what you need, a good vitamin supplement with calcium is all that is needed in addition to a varied diet.

a rehabber told me that almost everybody that call her that has
a young bird is trying to give it milk, and she always asks them
"Have you ever seen a bird with teats?"
