DISCERN Sep 28, 2006 09:22 PM

This 2004 guy was the reddest northern I have ever seen as a baby, and has now grown into a nice black and white northern. Here he is, scanning the area. I love this characteristic about pits!!

I live in NJ and have seen wild "ocean" county pines, fine example and simply beautiful, I have also seen other pines in NJ that are muddy brown and yellowish, these are usually located towards the northern part of their range in NJ and also in the far south, very odd, certain area have extreme white and black specimens expecially ocean county
