My brother was going through some old newspaper clippings and found this PIC in a clipping from the Titusville Florida Star Advocate. These are my brother and four of our friends with some of our pet snakes. This PIC was taken around 1966. At that time Eastern Indigos were fairly common in central Florida and we found them fairly often. Our Eastern Indigos were opportunistic feeders and would eat most anything we offered to them. Some of them would even eat toads. They did seem to like Yellow Ratsnakes more than any other meal. We did some road hunting (with my dad driving) back then and often found injured snakes at night. Any injured Yellow Rat or Corn got fed to the Indigos.
