CBS 4 (Boston, Massachusetts) 27 September 06 Alligator found in Concord pond reunited with owner
Concord, N.H. (AP) A small alligator that turned up in a pond has been reunited with its owner.
Concord Police Officer Kyle Finney had been keeping the alligator in his apartment since scooping it up from Horseshoe Pond a month ago. He planned to give it to a rescue agency, but a few weeks ago, he got a call from a Laconia man who said his pet, named Gator Face, disappeared when he let him outside to enjoy the sun.
Finney did some investigating to confirm the man's story and recently returned the alligator to its owner, who has since moved from Laconia.
Finney says Gator Face showed no signs of recognizing his keeper, but the man was happy.
``It wasn't like a dog reuniting with its owner,'' Finney said. ``But he was petting (Gator Face) on the top of the head.''
