Not all hatchlings will eat. It is not very common for every hatchling in a clutch to eat the first time you attempt to feed them. Most people attempt feeding again in 5 to 7 days. After 3 or 4 weeks of a hatchling not eating, you may want to consider some of the "tricks" for stubborn feeders.

These "tricks" can be found simply by doing a Google internet search for "feeding stubborn baby snakes" or consulting a book on corn snakes.

Nice snake, 1/3rd stripe, 1/3rd cubed, 1/3rd vanishing pattern, a triple play.

I have 2 okeetee babies. they ate great 3 times. Now sniff a pinky and nothing. Trying live again tonight. Also my male small hog has been off for a few months.

Since they are empty as far as food goes. What is your thought on a short cool down period then bring them back up to see if they respond?

Corns up north would be getting ready to brumate this time of year, I believe. So I guess that idea is to simulate a short brumation to fake them out.

OK, I have 2 okeetees that have both been feeding well, then both stopped? Not long, 10-14 days. I keep trying pinkies in their cage or a deli cup.

I had some 10-12 day old fuzzies. I popped one in each cage, even though there was a pinky. I found one okeetee took the fuzzy?

The other is still being a pain, must be a female.

My small male hog is still off feed. Active as can be, and looks at pink/fuzzy mice and pinky rats but will not take them?

My 2 females are still pigs. Last 3 I kept out of the 15 or so I had.
