Female Panther Chameleon

dragonladyTRW Sep 30, 2006 11:15 AM

Hello
I read somewhere (I can't remember where) that female panther chameleons can retain sperm and have fertile eggs even if she hasn't been with her mate in a while. Is this true?
My female panther just laid 42 eggs last night and they look just like the fertile eggs she laid in August but she's been 'alone' since July.
Any advice is great.

Thanks

Yes, they can retain sperm. I would incubate them. If there are any that are infertile, they will mold and/or shrivel up.
