feeding pre-killed question???

ballfreak Sep 30, 2006 03:44 PM

i am dying to be able to feed some of my snakes pre-killed but so far i only got one to simply put a dead rodent in and he will eat it with out trying anything. now my others have already went off feed and were eating live but i would like for them to eat the same way. i am thinking to waiting a few weeks without trying to ffed anything than try putting a prekilled rodent in and praying they eat it. has anyone tried this method of waiting several weeks than trying to feed? im thinking they will be hungry and hopefully will eat? any suggestions i mean i also tried walking the rodent around and no luck. a few days ago i put a live one in and my snake was going close to it looking, smelling but didnt go for it. i think its just the time of year.

You may have to do it in steps ,First try holding the live pray by the tail with tongs in front of them so they get familiar with the tongs, then do the same but stun the live pray , then go to pree killed ,then f/t if you wish .
GOOD LUCK WITH ALL YOU DO !!
