rock and caymens always poop on me why?

buzzard1 Sep 30, 2006 03:49 PM

I have a 4 year old cuban rock iguana who would always wait till I took him out of the cage to crap and pee. He would not just go once in my hands cuase he was scared but rather go several times all over my living room floor. he doesnt act scared and I have had him for several years, I really think it is a differant reason. My opion is they dont wana crap where they live. Now if that is the case I need to figure out a way to co-exist with this nasty habbit of theres. No I say theres cuase I thought it was just this cuban rock since I had a rhino iguana that would never do it. But I just got a 1 year olc caymen x lewisi and he does the same thing. latley I tried takign the larger 4 year old cuban outside on a leesh to go the bathoom but it usally takes 30 minutes of just chilling out side for him to go all the times he needs to go, and then still he usally winds up mustering somthign more for me to wipe off the carpet. Te little one its impossible ot do such a thing since he is way to small to even think about taking him outside. Do I just need to get another rhino iguana and just except they will always be this way and theree is no way to change these habbits with the rock and caymen the way they are. Or is there a differant aproach? They bothe live in seperate aquariums. Is the aquariums holding all the stgink so they wont crap in there? Any logical and nonsarcastic help would be apriciated thank you.

SPELL CHECK.
Trying to read that was giving me a headache. I will try to give advice. Is your cage big enough so your lizard can find a place to go? Cycluras that are scared will start crapping when they are grabbed, so you may have to cover your carpet and yourself with something until it calms down and no longer fears you.
