ticktom Sep 30, 2006 04:13 PM

I'm about to put my Hogs down for the Winter. What is a good weight for males and females?

Thanks

Tom

It really depends on the length of the snake. A good general rule is to just go by the girth in comparison to the snake. What I mean is that the snake sould be at it's heaviest point for the year. I don't weigh my animals unless I'm selling them, I just go by how they look. So as long as the snake looks in good weight, and has eaten good all year then you should be fine. Just watch them for any high weight loss during hibernation.

What are you hibernating, Eastern? Western?
