..Here in the States brown snakes (genus Storeria)are small harmless snakes. Not like the brown snakes in the post below from Australia which are highly venomous...
There are various species/subspecies and exactly which one you have is dpendant on your locale.

That is a Brownsnake (Storeria dekayi), as Mark pointed out. However, it actually looks very pale and pinkish. It almost look like it could be hypomelanistic.

Do you have other pictures?

I agree. I would like to see a head shot. I saw an amel from last year that was way brighter, but this one does look to have red eyes???

It looks similar to the one I collected in 1996...wish I had kept that one.
