Sweet snake. I just learned about them this year. And almost bought a few from Ben S. thru the shop. I may next year.
Please let me know about how his eating habits are. I was not sure if they can be like alternas.

That is the second mole king pictured this week and they are both stunning examples of the species.
I found one last year and couldn't get it to eat so I let it go where I found it.
I only tried a couple of times with f/t though. Didn't want to stress it out.
Didn't really have plans to keep it so I figured I would try f/t a couple of times. If it ate I would have kept it but I wasn't too surprised when it didn't.

I had the same thing happen with a speckled king the other year. What is it with kings? I thought they were garbage disposals? I guess if you wanna get rid of some food you have to buy a rat snake

I'm just wondering. I'm in NW Fla panhandle and a friend has found them just north of me. Just wondering what part of the country you have found them in,
Thanks,
Rob

Hey Rob, Your email got lost when I transfered it from my spam blocker but I did get a chance to read it, I just find the grey rat snakes right out in the open usually early or after a rain. I sometimes go out on my farm and look for other varieties, under logs in brush piles etc, but generally its a chance encounter, my current pet cornsnake I found at my buddies in Navarre, I have seen 2 or 3 here this year, another half dozen at my other friend's plant nursery, I'll keep an eye out for another corn and let ya know when I catch one, the greys are much better when you get em really young, Brian
