can you identify this snake

Hi all,

I was sat in my lounge the other day when i heard a tapping at the window. i looked over at our patio doors and saw this fella....

it was about 1 meter in length and was very thin including the head. approx the same thickness as an index finger. it was pale blue on its belly, brown on top, with white stripe.

I live in borneo (brunei), so this is going to be some kind of exotic snake.

i'd love to know what type it was.

It looks like one of the species of Dendrelaphis, probably Dendrelaphis pictus, the Painted Bronzeback.

I lived in East Kalimantan for a short while and Dendrelaphis were common garden snakes.

thanks Chris. With it's bright blue colouring i thought it might be something more unusual !!
