Lost and found

Our young male hypo tangerine went missing a few days ago. The cat, a person of interest in the crime, has been cleared of all charges. We found our little male leo in the oddest place - the cat's water dish! Thankfully no scratches or other evidence that the cat even laid a paw on him. It has been pretty hot around here lately so I wonder if the nice shallow water dish attracted him. Kinda scary though because it tells us he was hiding in the kitty area, not the safest place in the house. We searched high and low, and we are just so glad he turned up healthy. He has been transferred to a secure enclosure that doesn't have a tricky to fasten lid.

The cat, however, remains a suspect in last month's disappearance of one male Betta fish.

That happened with a tree frog. It jumped out of the aquarium, and then I spotted him in my dog's water bowl.

Thank goodness it didn't end up as a kitty snack!
