Got Musked Today

Rivets55 Oct 03, 2006 01:12 AM

Stopped by the vet to pick up flea meds for the kitties today. The doc spotted me and told me to go check out his 06 Gophers.

Cute little buggers but - Oh Man! Fiesty!

Anyway I had to pick up the one that was hissing, tail buzzzzing, and striking the most. It tagged me several times but left no marks. When it realized I wasn't buying the aggression, it proceeded to musk my hand.

LOL - Took me 3 hours to get most of that stink off! I can still get a whiff 12 hours later! What a little stinker!

Just thought I'd share

Hehe, mine was like that yesterday. Apparently she doesn't want a clean tank when she's blue, cause she got really cheesed off at me reaching in there. She's been wonderful before, but yesterday even got into striking the glass

LMAO - What kind of Gophers? I think there was a post about this a few days back. I'd never heard of Gophers musking, but a friend of mine, who I go out road cruising w/ told me that it's been known to happen. I got "christened" a few days ago by my '06 WC Pac Gopher (road cruising out in west Lancaster). She's really fiesty, tail rattling's standard, so's @ least one hiss everytime I pick her up. The other day she decided to add a little musk to the mix. Man did it stink!

LOL

I've had my share of being crapped on, musked, and all that good stuff. This was pungent. And clingy. And slimey. It reaked. I washed several times with detergent and water and still smelt like old sweat socks, dried cat poo, high-sulfur crude oil, and just a hint of skunk for hours. I made the mistake of smoking a cigarette with that hand - gag me! It doesn't just smell bad - it'll ruin yer dinner!

Hilarious

I'll try to remember to ask the doc what kind of Gophers the little stinkers are.

If I handle my female cape gopher for too long she bleeds on me from her vent. She's never musked me though.
