He's very skinny but been a bit if a pig(loves waxies and grasshoppers), and he's very hyper active, I think he's going to be ok.

His girlfriend was sleeping and he looks a bit pasty because he'd just woken up when I took these, but in the day time he's a pale colour mostly with great yellow legs and dark blotches on his face. I think he's very handsome if I do say so myself.

Forgive his scabby skin, he's a growing boy !!

I just love those C. bicinctores; I'm glad you got a pair.

Something that I have noticed about them is that they are often leaner than the C. collaris, so don't be surprised if they never get "fat."

Lol, they have little pot bellies and real skinny back ends, if the back fills out to match the front I'll be more than happy.

Silly question, but if I'm feeding them hoppers and wax worms (lots of wax worms), how much weight is acceptable to be gaining in a week? Just so I can monitor their progress.... If they arent gaining weight very fast and they should be I'll need to go the vet, or likewise the other way round.

I don't know how much weight they should gain in a week--that's a good question. When I am caring for very thin lizards (i.e. there is a groove all the way down the tail), I watch to see if there is DAILY improvement with the fat reserves, or lack thereof, in the tail. You should actually be able to see a difference in how far down the tail the groove goes. Each day the end of the groove should creep closer to the body until eventually you don't have a groove in the tail at all. You do this by keeping them well hydrated and feeding them high calorie, nutritious food. It is such a gratifying experience to see them getting better everyday.

Booba, is a handsome fellow, pretty face, needs some beefing up but as long as he cooperates, he should fill out nice.

I know his tail is thin , no fat, but it looks as though it may be kinky here and there on the way down to bottom, is it or does it just look like that in the pic? If it's kinky may be a little calcium (lack of ) problem , maybe no uvb light was offered.

I like him though and would have grabbed him also Keep posting as he fills out. He will be awesome

Unfortunately he had a kink in his tail the first time I saw him... which was the day he arrived in the pet store, so I figure its always been like that.

He has white in his poo though, and he has a 8.0 bulb now, so hopefully it wont get any worse. Is there anything I can do for him other than keep him warm and well fed? He's eating wax worms and medium grass hoppers

Treat for parasites. I recommend Panacur and Flagyl. You need to treat them at least two or three times, with treatments two weeks apart, because the life cycle of some organisms means that they may not all be killed off with just one dose.

Do this even if you don't find anything on a fecal exam.

You know, it's funny - the yellow only really shows in the pictures. In person she's more yellow-beige on the legs than yellow. But I think she's cute anyway!
