silk worms

mrfisher May 20, 2003 02:31 PM

Hey,

I noticed only 1 person posted and didn't get an answer, but I have two cresteds (babies) and only one eats silk worms, the other refuses...

I've tried isolating them in different containers and he/she (dunno yet) still refuses to eat it. I got the small size silks too, so I don't think it was too big... eats crix fine though.

Problem is, as a result, one is outgrowing the other. or could this be a sign of gender?

The one just does not like them; that’s all. They are individuals and each has their own preferences to a degree. It is not a sign of gender. However it is interesting that one is growing faster then the other. They are both good sources of protein, unless one is eating more then the other. It could also be genetics (which I doubt). Or silkworms are some kind of super food…lol. I have never used them so I don’t know for sure.
