I heard of getting a large litter box for kittens and filling it up with vermiculite. Then DAMPEN, not soak, the vermiculight (or soil) and she will dig a hole and all.... Good luck with your preg. female.

Need a deeper layer of egg laying medium than what you can get with a litter box. A rubbermaid tub is best, something that is at least 12" deep. You can fill with a mix of potting soil (untreated) vermiculate and water so it clumps nicely but won't leak water when squeezed in your hand. Use a heat lamp to warm the sand and introduce your female when she stop eating or is digging like made in her cage. You can cover part or all of the egg laying bin to give her privacy. It will take a few hours for her to lay all her eggs once she is ready.
