Hi Everyone,
I've just probed my Malaysian Blood and the probe entered down to 4 sub caudals so male or female?
I'm familiar with other pythons and venomous but not bloods ,and as the tail is so short I haven't a clue.
Any help appreciated.

Female, but check both sides and gentle work the probe around to make sure. They have very strong muscles in that region that makes probing a bit...challenging... at times. Depends on age.

Hi Rich, thanks alot .
She's an 06 Malaysian about 20 inches long. I probed both sides and 4 is the deep side , the other went down to 3.
What sort of depth would a male go to?

Female is tyically 2-5 and males 6-12. Again probing bloods can be somewhat difficult sometimes. Babies should be easier though.
