2003 Eastern Box Turtle Hatchling Pics!!!

Steve_5201 Aug 05, 2003 11:50 PM

Hey everyone! I have pictures of my five eastern box turtle hatchlings from the first clutch of eggs. I attached a link to the pictures below. I also attached a picture of hatchling #5. He stands out from the rest of his brothers and sisters because of his coloration. It looks like he may grow up to be just as beautiful as his dad. His picture may take a while to come up, and if it does I'm sorry. Anyway, I just wanted to share his picture, along with a link to other pictures of him, as well as pictures of his brothers and sisters.

Very nice Steve. The little guy is showing color so early. If you can, show a pic of the parents.

Congrats!

Here's a picture of Ethel, the mother of the first clutch of five eggs. I have been having her since May 2, 2001. The pictures aren't too great (especially the one of Ethel with the peice of grass in the middle of the picture), but it is hard snapping pics of impatient boxies, and it's even harder when the temps are in the 90's and the heat index is in the 100's because of the 90% humidity! Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Here's Fred, the father of all nine hatchlings I received this year. I've also had him since May 2, 2001. Hatchling #5 is already starting to show a few characteristics as his(?) father. I am hoping he grows up to be just as beautiful as him. Enjoy!

Can certainly see where the little guy might get his color.

Cheers!
