Calling DON S. Dark spot on amels eyes

HerpZillA Oct 03, 2006 07:44 PM

OK Don, I did some research. It appear the retinal pigment is chromatin base not melanin based. If there were no pigment (this may not be the correct term?) of any type in the retina, they would not be able to see. These are based on proteins. Sorry I forgot which proteins.

I had a little bio, and I get the jist, but I really do not know more. I just have a knack on digging up odd info. I hope it 1, makes sense to you, and 2, it helps.

Tom,

That's a great help. Can you link me to any sites where I may find more on the subject? If so, please send to:
Cornsnakes@aol.com

I appreciate this,

Don

No, this came from a customer that suppose to have a MS in molecular bio. He thought that was the answer, but just so happened to have an up come appointment with his optometrist. And he also verified that info.
