I may be moving. I just made a huge decision to take a break from graduate school and start my career. The job I'm interviewing will force me to move if I get hired, and most of the locations are pretty far away.
I'm concerned about my geckos. If I move and I decide not to drive, I would think of shipping them. But I've never packaged a gecko and I'd be sick with worry that the gecko wouldn't make it alive.
I was wondering, can you bring a gecko on a plane? I know that sounds weird, but if I had a small critter carrier with darkened sides, would I legally be able to classify this as carry on? The carrier could stay on my lab and be heated by my body. If anybody has taken a small pet with them on a plane, let me know. I saw a girl bring a parrot onto a flight once, but that was before September 11th. Geckos don't make noise and I can't imagine anybody being allergic. IF the sides are darkened, the animal can't really scare anybody, right? Hmmm...
If I could at least take one or two with me, and let my boyfriend take the other 2 when he moves, that would be ideal.
