Websites: Read as many as you can, and take it all with a grain of salt. That doesn't mean that none of it is good info, because a lot of it is. But none of it is "right," because things are never that simple.

Which monitor to get?: I always irritate people with my answer to this question. So, I won't.

It all really depends on what you would like? Some monitors are "ADHD" while others are bi-polar. Some are arboreal while others are terrestrial; hell some are both. Then you have your highly aquatic monitors. They also have different needs and enclosure requirements. You mentioned mid-sized, well that's a step in narrowing the selection. You must consider feeding and how much it will cost to keep him/her healthy. Also consider your electric bill and what space you are willing to give up in your house. Can daily cleaning and maintenance be incorporated into your lifestyle? Whatever you read, bring it up here and see what you are told. There is not one way to keep monitors, but there are parameters that most follow. These are just some things to consider, but hey I'm still just a newbie myself. Good Luck.

ADHD are you kidding me? Are we talking monitors here or people? If you are going to say responses like what you just wrote you should really consider not posting on here for a LONG time!! In no way shape or form do monitors have a human disease of temperment such as ADHD or anything close. Monitors are 100% in a world of their own when it comes to temperments and actions. May I ask where you came up with all of what you said? Please tell me it was methaphorically speaking!!! Even then it's still assanine!!!
You need to read some more care sheets for monitors, a few books and listen to people with a lot of expierence!!!!

LOL.
Please don't take it so literal. I meant some monitors are much more active then others. My argus is all over the place while my B/T just hangs around and calmly explores......Thanks...
