Is he a hypo boa has arrived.

JaredAren Oct 05, 2006 03:44 PM

This whole deal goes to show that generally if the deal is to good to be true it is probably not true. A few weeks ago I posted a picture of a male boa that was sold to me as a hypo and I asked you all to make an opinion as to whether you thought he was a hypo or not. It was pretty unanimous that he was not hypo but was a nice pastel. After some delay he arrived. By delay I mean delay on the seller's part and delay because the seller sent him ground from West Virginia to Iowa. Anyway, once he arrived, after 3 days of being in a box with no heat or insulation surrounding the inside of the box, I was surprised that he and the adult female I purchased with him were still alive. I was also surprised to see that he was darker than in the pic that was sent to me. Even so the pair was worth the amount I paid($250 shipped). Despite their long cold trip they have been doing great the past couple of weeks. The female is a bit thin from having a litter this last spring and then having an owner that did not feed her well. She is a giant at over 7 ft long. I think I like her more than the male. She is in the first pic and the second two pics are the male.

He is about 5 ft long. This is the only boa that I have ever had that I have to struggle with to get him out of the cage. He just does not want to come out and when I put him back he zooms right in. Usually it is the opposite.

Beatiful find but please disclose the name of the stupid person that ship the poor animals that way, so I do not purchase anything from him.
Best of luck with them.
