Chicago NARBC, WIR, and Hog Island Pics

I know there have been a few 'who's going' threads BUT this is more a request/inquiry about those that are going....Is anyone planning on taking pictures? If not...someone please take pics at the show for me b/c I was planning on going and helping out at my friend's table (John Yocum/Zoo-otics) but my wife received unfortunate news. She has thyroid cancer and is having surgery tomorrow. John had to cancel my already booked flight reservations and I was sad to not go but under the circumstances, it had to be done. She was diagnosed and scheduled for surgery so fast...I can't even get a regular doctor's appt that fast. It would have been my first 'out of town' herp show. Plus, I had some 06 Nicaraguan boas to unload AND I wanted to see John's 06 recently born Bolivians (which are pictured just a few threads down under cbreps).

Anyway, my wife & I are only 30 years old and have had our share of health problems over the past year, which is why I haven't had much time to do the Week In Review. Thanks for reading this AND be sure to visit John at his table (zoo-otics) at the Chicago NARBC and ask him for a free Fowler's Toad!(-just joking). Anyway, here is a pic of my herp-loving daugther...and another pic of my female Lemke-line Hog that I got from John a few years back.

Hey,

I'm sorry to hear about your wife, we'll be taking pictures i'm sure (though I doubt any good ones).

If you need any information or anything about thyroid cancer feel free to email me at Thyroidless4@yahoo.com . I was diagnosed with it when I was 16 (now 21) so I know the in and outs, been through most the treatments and I've done all the research. For starters a good site (without too much technical talk) is Thyca.org- good resources.

I was just thinking the other day about the WIR. I am glad you posted but wow I am so sorry about your wife, and I hope the operation gets all of it and that she is fine again soon. The picture of your daughter is so cute.

Good luck,
Caden

Fantastic baby on that first pics, though I hear they are expensive to keep.
I hope all goes well with your wife. Best wishes.

....we are now giving a free plastic container with every snake purchase!! haha!! jason (carl3)and his wife julie hosted me this summer to a great weekend where jason and i skipped thru the new jersey pine barrens with cameras and snake hooks, unfortunately we found no pinesnakes but hundreds of fowlers toads...and ticks!!jeez i thought he was paranoid but we were pulling ticks off like there was no tomorrow! they are GREAT people and dont deserve the problem that has fallen on them. muriel and i wish them the best of luck with julie's treatment and recovery. if you get too warm at the show stop by our booth (right under the A/C unit...thanks brian, please bring us hot cocoa!)....i also got to stare at those sweet a-- corn island boas across from me at vin russo's table.......man i want some of those!! john yocum
