burmlover15 Oct 06, 2006 03:48 AM

i just got my red sumatran blood about 2 weeks ago she's about 2 months old the first week she didn't eat which i wasn't worried but i tried to offer again this week and she didn't have any intrest in it at all so i left the food in the cage over night and in a box overnight and neither time she would eat would any one have any idea what to do?

Try not to worry too much. My bloods can be extremely picky eaters. They're basically just lazy. You didn't mention what you were trying to feed your snake. If you're feeding mice, try rat pups. My bloods really like rat fuzzys. What works for me is I thaw out a rat pup and lay the head of the rat pup in the opening to the hide that the snake is laying in, then I leave the room for an hour or more. They will usually eat. Just keeping trying slightly different things until you figure out what your snake likes. Good Luck
