sinaloan x cali

azhael Oct 06, 2006 06:37 AM

I´ve seen a few of these hybrids and i think most of them are amazing!!!!!
I own a female sinaloan of nearly breeding age. And i´m sirously thinking of getting this beautiful striped californiae i talked about in another post.
If the cali is a male i´ll get it.

Anyway, my question is...is it complicated to breed them???Is it something that happens only in perfect conditions and just with particular individuals, or is it a little more difficult than breeding the sinaloan with another sinaloan???
I´m really interested in trying this, but if it´s difficult to achieve i´ll have to wait until i have experience.
thanx.

They can tell you all the ins' and outs' and tricks of the trade when it comes to scenting different sexes of different species (so you can even breed a wallabee to a watersnake if done right!!!) GOOD LUCK!
Yeah, some hybrids ARE beautiful to look at, (I'm not into hybrids) but I like THESE better:

A lot of the snakes you and I and everyone on here posts ARE hybrids.

BlueKing Oct 06, 2006 12:49 PM

True - BUT at least they don't resemble hybrids!!!
OK OK, just pickin' at you Rainer! Now that I've got your attention I must admit that YOU have some of the most awesome hybrids out there. I like a lot of your brooksi and brooksi x easterns, especially the black and white ones (you got any of those "mystery" brooks this year?)
One question I have, that you might be able to answer: Do you remember those "Candy colored clowns" that someone was selling a few years back? What type of snake(s) were those? Does anyone still have any??? Thanks,

Zee

I though hybrid was different species, and that eastern X brooksi would just be an integrade (both are getula), not a hybrid.

my thought is that an intergrade was a naturally occuring collision, like Apalatchacola and S.Ga,LOL. I dont know what to call manmade Geographic variants ,hybrids come to mind?

Not completly patternless but you need this type of pattern disruption to create candy clowns, when crossed to the nelsoni it will pull the nelsons pattern up creating circles on the top.

WOW! That itself is a NICE animal! THANKS for the info, too.
Does anyone still work with those (candy colored clowns)?

Sinaloan X Cali (aka SINCAL)is pretty easy to breed. Same with the cali x corn (Jungle). Others like the honduran x florida (Jurassic) are not easy and you have to use tricks to get them to breed like using several males.

bluerosy Oct 06, 2006 10:54 AM

I think that dicussing possible crosses and hybrids will help keep everyone aware of what lineages there are out there . The so called "pure" guys will benifit from this even though they don't want to face it and stick there heads in the sand beleiving what they have is pure is really not..

Mixed kingsnakes are all over this forum. Everyone needs to share this info so this hobby can finally regain some much needed corrections.

Ok, thanx all. I´ve been reading about breeding hybrids and the tricks, and i think i get the idea of how to do it (we will see).

One last thing....does anyone have pics of sincals that they can post??? I´ve been only able to find three pics, and i would love to see others, to see the different results you can get. Please post your pics n_n
thanx.

Out of curiosity, why does it seem that an unusually large number of these Lampro hybrids involve Cal Kings?

Is it just that they are more readily available and have low market value, or are they just hornier and more willing to go along with the project?

Easy to breed, yes. Also they come in many patterns including striped, banded, bannana, hi-white and albino, they are hardy and they feed well right out of the egg.
