sincal question.

azhael Oct 06, 2006 08:13 AM

I´ve seen a few of these hybrids and i think most of them are amazing!!!!!
I own a female sinaloan of nearly breeding age. And i´m sirously thinking of getting this beautiful striped californiae.
If the cali is a male i´ll get it.

Anyway, my question is...is it complicated to breed them???Is it something that happens only in perfect conditions and just with particular individuals, or is it a little more difficult than breeding the sinaloan with another sinaloan???
I´m really interested in trying this, but if it´s difficult to achieve i´ll have to wait until i have experience.
I´ve heard about scentin tricks and stuff, but have no idea on how to be succesful with this.
thanx

next year will be my first year breeding hybrids but with that cross you will have to be cautious because of the cal kings need to feed and he could try and eat your mate. its best to have pairs of each and get them all worked up with its rightful mate and then switch the males to the other species some have been succesful with just placing them together and it happens. you could check out the link below or check out henry deans website( http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Zoo/6757/ }he has alot of info. you could try it and see what happens but remember you could never have enough snakes so if you buy it and nothing happens it gives you the excuse to buy two more snakes.
