Cooling JCP...?

jerhart Oct 07, 2006 08:39 AM

I am aware of the various ways of breeding JCP, but now I am to the point where I am confused and I am getting some of the ways mixed up. My pair are currently seperated and kept at normal temps.
This is what I want to do, tell me if I am wrong. I am planning on cutting my male off(feeding) and keeping the temperature normal to let his digestive system clear out. Do I do the same for the female? One they have defecated I am planning on slowly dropping the temperature. How low do you suppose I should drop the temperature? How fast of a temperature decrease do you think I should do, one degree a day? I plan on keeping them cool for about a month (no feeding) when I then plan on introducing the male into the female cage. Am I doing this right? Do I cool both of them and not feed them? If I witness copulation do I start to warm the temperatures back up? Thanks in advance for any help!
