My baby leo is totally intimidated by the crickets. That or just bored by them, cause he won't touch any. Is it not a good idea to move them to a seperate cage for cricket feeding? Also, will they ignore them if they're too small?

If at all feasible, I don't recommend feeding baby/ young geckos in a separate container, simply due to the amount of handling that is require to keep moving it back and forth, which could be stressful.

I've found that sometimes they will ignore crickets or, as you put it, be bored by them when they are too small. The perfect size would be 1/2 the size of the gecko's head. Might be worth a try to get a few larger crickets the next time you stock up, just to try and compare.

Are your temps right and the gecko is otherwise healthy? All other things being right, it could very easily be a size issue. That was the first thing I thought of when you said "bored" that is exactly how our geckos get between sizes.

I'd assume he's fine, because he tears through mealworms like they're nothing. I havn't actually SEEN him eat, but I put in 10 last night and they were all gone in about 22 minutes when I went back in, and after I did my sweep, none were found.

The crickets are pretty tiny, so it's probably the size issue. I'll leave one in there tonight and see if I can find it tomorrow. Thanks!

at times it can be hard for a gecko to find just 1 single cricket. the crickets will end up hiding or dieing if they are not healthy and your gecko will never find it. you should probably leave about 5 medium size crickets in the cage overnight and then check in the morning. if they are still there take them out and try it again the next night. i find that all my 20+ leos and fat tails will only eat as many as they want being between 5-20 crickets a night. if i try to feed them crickets that they ignored the previous night they normally ignore them again the next so my geckos always get fresh food everynight. you also want to make sure the crickets cant annoy your gecko in its hiding spot!! This could cause your gecko not to eat them if they are being constantly pestered by their food. try this and you should have success, its never failed me. also if all the crickets are gone by morning try putting 7 in and so how it goes after that. if none are gone try 5 crickets again.
