tort eating styrofoam

nimmerfroh Oct 07, 2006 07:56 PM

I caught my Hermann eating a little piece of styrofoam found outside before I could get to her. I'm sure it's no big deal and will pass easily. I just wondered what other people have caught their tortoises eating by accident. Anything really strange, or something that has caused problems?

My tort (Eli) likes to eat Tackle Sacks (cat toy). They are a pastel purple (the oens we have anyway) yet he is very attracted to them. He also tries everything new . . . no matter what it is. Usually he bites, spits it out and moves on. The cat toys though he just keeps trying, so we pick them up before he gets to walk around now.
