Being that they are a nocturnal species they are more active and alert at night and do tend to eat better at night or late evening but I have never had a problem feeding in the day time .

I feed most of mine either just after the lights go out or in the morning before the lights go on. It seems to help get a few more meals in my picky feeders.

I am awake during the daylite............sleep at night
.......yes balls may feed better right before lights out time..
.......feed when we have time to

Me too,and they look forward to feeding days,they smell boxes of rats and wait at the edge of there enclosures...welcome to the world of Balls..
