What a bummer.....

Yesterday was the annual show here on Long Island. I've been waiting patiently all summer with the intention of picking up a few snakes. It's a fairly small show, but I was pleasantly surprised that most vendors had corns. I was overwhelmed and spent hours bouncing from table to table trying to decide what to get. The problem was that the show ended at 4pm and before I knew it, everyone was packing up to leave. I forgot which vendor had which snake that I wanted. I ended up coming home with 1 Emoryi Rat. That's it, 1 snake. Uggh, I couldn't wait for the show and it flew by. I surely learned my lesson. lol

That really is a bummer & you are 100% right!! For the size of the Long Island show there are some VERY nice animals to choose from. And, the majority of vendors are local breeders selling animals that they produced or had for a while & are looking to sell off..

There was also many outstanding animals on display in the Show section for everyone to admire.

I had animals in the show & I was also a vendor, but of course i managed to pick up some really nice animals. I also found a few back issues of the vivarium, a couple of nice small tanks that have been out of production for many years & some other husbandry items..

I know there a bigger shows in the area but i really think that anyone in the NY area that does not take a couple of hours to attend this show is really missing out on the opportunity to pick up some very nice animals..

Unfortunately, I missed the show last year. Wasn't sure what to expect this year. Besides the Emoryi, I also got a good deal on some UTH's. The animals in the show were really nice, I especially liked the striped Miami corn.

I met alot of really nice vendors selling some really nice animals. I definitely learned a lesson: If you see something you like, BUY IT. I missed out on a nice rosy boa by waiting too long.

I'm glad you were able to do some shopping. I was there with my brother and he bought a bunch of animals. I look forward to next years show.
