keeping eggs cool

cowtownherper Aug 06, 2003 07:42 AM

One of my corns just laid a late clutch.I wasn't really planning this. The problem is they are too warm. My house is older and hard to keep cool. It's supposed to be 106 today. I've got them in the incubator for the humidity, with the heat off but its still hovering near 90. I know some people just keep them in the closet or someplace cool. I don't really have any place that stays constantly cool. Any suggestions? Thanks

I putmine in the basement. The cheap incubators flucuate too much when the ambianttemperature goes up.

for corn eggs as long as they cool off below 80 F at night. IMHO, a warm day and cooler night is closer to wild conditions than a constant temperature is.
