Diablo Blanco

cottonmouth111 Oct 08, 2006 09:04 PM

It is my understanding that this is a completely white gecko. In that case wouldn't it be a leucistic, red eye? Bored and just a thought. Sam

its a cross between a raptor and a blizzard. but the blizzard gene wipes out all pattern so the only thing that can show through are the eclipse eyes and albino trait. so it just looks like a blazing blizzard with all red eyes but it has all the potential raptor traits inside : )

Yeah I know the cross but true leucisism results in in a all white gecko. So basicly it's a leucistic, red eye gecko right?

If you consider the blizzard gene to be leucistic, then all the morphs using the blizzard gene are leucistic.

Leucistic animals have baby blue eyes....
Blizzards look like they have blue eyes but they are actually darker grey...

The Diablo Blanco is a tremper albino eclipse blizzard.

All I'm saying, is in retrospect leucistic gecko is all white, and Diablo Blanco has red eyes. I know the process of getting a Diablo but wouldn't it be considered a leucistic red eye? Maybe I am thinking myself stupid. I do see what you're saying though.

cottonmouth111 Oct 09, 2006 01:09 AM

Haha ok nevermind that. I understand now, I was over thinking it...or under, which ever you prefer.

Leucistic is a term for a specific thing. A white animal with blue eyes because of a single mutated gene. Combining other traits to make a similar look with different eyes isnt the same thing... They just look similar.
