Updated Photos of a few of my "Normals"

Aviansinoil Oct 08, 2006 10:13 PM

These are 4 of the odd balls in my collection, haven't proven any traits in them as of yet so I will spare you the pain of hearing(seeing?) another personally named BP MORPH!!!

I had posted a few pictures of this neat little ball right after he hatched, it's been 2 months and so far he's retained his red sides and is starting to go silver near his tail(though I know this can occur in hatchlings as they shed)

Here's the silvering on his tail, you can see it on the area that's covering his head.

A belly shot-

Here's the hatchling's mother-

This is a huge older male that has a really interesting pattern. Horizontal stripe down the side of the neck, striped belly, and an overall greenish tint to him. This is the father of the hatchling in the photos-

Top shot of the male-

Annnd a belly shot of the male-

So what is it? I dunno! Some say it's scars(all his scales are in tact BTW)...He's breeding and if anything he's a beautiful snake with tons of blushing! Hopefully he'll pass that blushing on to his offspring!

Belly shot!

Very nice Ball pythons! I like all, but what do you think the silver in the tail could be? Looks awesome! Thanks Andy

Weeeeeell....it could be something(and feel free to correct me if I word this wrong!) that can happen to young snakes where the pigment in the scale doesn't fully develop and instead comes in colorless...most of the time it corrects itself. OR - it could be something funky! Who knows.
