Reports are coming in that North Korea just detonated an atomic bomb in an underground test.

I wonder if the seismic station northwest of Terlingua registered the explosion. I was out there several months ago to replace some batteries and was told they could detect atomic explosions anywhere on the planet.

Watch the new show called Jericho. About some of the same stuff you are probably thinking about right now.

I am scared as well. I don't think they will attack, but now they have something to hold over our heads.

Who knows how much of their technology they will sell to others.

Take Care,

Steven

BORED??????????????? You have to be bored to watch that???? Dude! I found it very interesting. There is no way that is going to happen anytime soon (at least on that scale! The show drags a bit but otherwise it does make one think, does it not????

I like the show a lot actually. Which probably means they will cancel it. Here is the list of shows I watch each week.

My #1 show is BATTLESTAR GALACTICA!!!
I also watch HEROES, JERICHO, Smalleville and Survivorman.
Also various reptile and animal shows.

Smallville hasn't been good as of late, and I am barely hanging on.

Heroes is a neat show if you haven't seen it before. I do like Jericho. It has a good story line so far. Trying to figure out what the Black family is up to at this time.

Well take care,

Steven Owens

I was hooked after the first episode of Jericho. I certainly can tell herping season is over talking about and watching all these tv shows! I guess it's time to watch the snakes in the collection grow and ready them for the next season. See ya!

your totals this year? If you would rather email me that is fine. Just curious. Lance and I got 2 Al Turners this year.

A banner year at the Owens house.

Best Wishes,

Steven

Well,................The year was not good my man. First of all, I refuse to pay $3 plus a gallon to chase snakes. I refuse to support the Georgie boy regime more than I have to, so I hate to say it, but alternas went by the wayside for me this year. I was lucky enough to receive a very nice dark alterna with nice orange,(16 mile cut, North Sanderson) as a gift this year, so you can say I only got one by default. I basically only caught 2 Subocs on Black Gap this year and the rest was not worth talking about. Please remember I did not snake hunt like I normally have done the last 25 years! I just cannot justify the cost. I have been trying to concentrate on the snakes I have here at home. I am on vacation this week (last one for the year), but I choose not to spend it snake hunting. If the politicians stay out of the oil market this Summer, and do not jack up prices again, I may decide to come out again. It's a sad sad situation bud.
