If you think dwarf jacks only get about 2 inches, its time for you to keep studying on the chameleon species.

As I said before, don't fit a chameleon to a cage, fit a cage to a chameleon. Pick the species you are going to keep as your first, I reccomend a veiled chameleon, possibly a panther chameleon, read the care requirements. Study how other people keep them. Make a cage, test it out for a week or two studying the temperatures and humidity, airflow, etc. Post photos of the enclosure online to have Experienced people give you their opinions on what the cage should have to better suit its future resident.

THEN... then if everything is adequate, make your purchase through a reputable company or breeder of a completely healthy specimen.

No doubt you will have to make minor adjustments tot eh cage during the first month, but its likely those will depend on room temperatures, seasonal changes, or the areas climate in which you live in.

First off, you have a bad attitude and its people like you who make this difficult to proceed with further information on species or care. DO YOUR RESEARCH !!!!!!! Research species you are interested in and LEARN their requirements. This forum is for help, questions and concerns, not for us to tell you everything you need to know about raising chams! What have you done on your own? If you have time to write a message on this board then you have time to search for care restrictions, supplementation & feeders, lighting, humidity levels and any other everyday routines you should know, on the web. Its pretty simple, the info is out there. Stop relying on others and take initiative to do it your self. You keep saying how you have taken care of animals for some time now and know what you’re doing but every time you open your mouth it does not seem to be the case. The people who you are blowing off and ignoring their important questions, ARE indeed people you SHOULD take advice from. These people have been caring for these animals for quite some time now and KNOW what they are talking about! If someone is asking you about your husbandry techniques, then list them, because by you rapidly asking if you can shove a cham in an ALL wood box with a glass sliding door and no ventilation is plain out ridiculous and you SHOULD question your own husbandry. I have been keeping chams as well as other reptiles for years and still to this day I question my own husbandry and reevaluate what I need to do for the animals. Key words here "what I have to do for the ANIMALS" not myself. Sorry to offend anyone else by this post, not my intentions.
