I have wanted one of these since the day I first saw one. I picked up this girl from Al Baldogo at the Tinley show.
I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
NERD also had some smoking hot retics but were a little out of my reach.

Beautiful amel Jim! I'm curious though after having paid attention to these guys a little lately. Does the ran-together dorsal 'striping' occur in all normal amels? If I'm not mistaken, every one I've seen in the classifieds displays that trait. It doesn't seem like it's something that should follow the trait as amel is just a simple recessive trait like any other form of albinism, so it theoretically shouldn't impact the pattern, but it's uncanny that they all (all I've seen) display that. I appreciate any input.

Funny you mentioned this because Al and I were talking about this at the show. I also had this same conversation with Cindy a couple of months back over the phone. It seems that almost all come out looking that way. Even the tigers are different in that the classic tiger pattern is extremely rare. I cannot recall if Al or Cindy ever said if they hatched out an amel classic tiger or not. The normal hets and possible hets also come out with the same type of pattern. Seems like it is a very strong trait of the amel line.
The amels are very interesting retic in my opinion which few people have adults. In the next few years I look forward to seeing what the adults end up looking like. Hopefully they end up looking like the one that started it all off. Amelia is a one foxy lady.

That's a great looking amel Jim. I know what you mean about always wanting one... it was hard to talk to Al at the show and not take one home myself. Very nice snake!
